OLD KIDS TV SHOWS (70's/80's)
OLD KIDS TV SHOWS (70's/80's)
Following on froma discussion on a tv-based forum, I was wondering what old shows (especially from a dinnertime on ITV) forumites wuld be interested to see again on a dvd compilation. Apparantly, Granada have most shows in their archive so they do still exist... YOU have to be of a certain age to remember the delights of Gideon (yellow helpful melancholy duck voiced by Tim Brooke-Taylor), The Learning Tree, Get Up and Go! ("Mooncat" with Beryl Reid and the priest off Brookside), Little Blue (a cartoon elephant who got covered in ink and turned blue), A Handful Of Songs (bloke with a guitar and a woman singing songs) and Rupert (the original ATV show using scary puppets)... how good would such a dvd be? I reckon Freemantle Media ought to pull their finger out and release a Rainbow dvd featuring episodes from the 70's (with Rod, Jane & Matthew Corbett, and Rod, Jane and Roger) - all the dvd's out at the moment have late 80's/early 90's shows on.

For me, it would have to be a remake of Lassie...... but with the original dog of course!

Already have a DVD of Jamie and the magic torch! (Wouldn't get past the PC mafia now, Wellybob, the backward cat, speaks with an Irish accent)
