Eve Vorley on TV last night.
Re: Eve Vorley on TV last night.
I thought it was the funniest programme I'd seen in ages. Wonderfully british and almost like a naughty seaside postcard or should I say extremely naughty seaside postcard.
I loved the very polite way that the fan's would write the filthiest stuff and end it with yours sincerely etc.
Classic documentary.

It was very good, the small comedian fella with the keyboard delivered the lines from the letters sublimely- in a range of accents. He recited a letter from a fan in a pre-war accent, ending with words to the effect of ".....so I'd like to be wanked orf, and nibble your fanny-chunk. Yours etc..". You just had to be there, I suppose....
I thought ch4 went a bit arty with the cut-scenes for the songs and could have focussed more on Eve (and her brother's) testimonials, but that's just being hypercritical.
Next time I'm in London, I might take in 'Dirty Fan Mail' night at the comedy store!
