HIV test certificate

Post by Allan »

I think its worth pointing out that a HIV test certificate does not mean somone does not have HIV.

If you get the test done today, it only states that you are clear up to 6 months ago, ie you can gets HIV today but it takes 6 months to show.

I think thats right.

Kinda,
Its like this...
It takes 3 months from the date of infection, for the virus to have multiplied sufficiently in the body, for it to show up in a blood test. Up until this point, not only is it not detected in a blood test, but it also hasn't multiplied sufficiently for it to pass itself on either.
QED, if you are tested every two months, you shouldn't have a problem...
However, I much prefer the testing that they do in the states.
Over there, they have DNA testing, so if you've got ANYTHING, (Even if you only got it ten mins ago) It shows up...
See you all soon,
I'm off to Prague in a few hours to shoot "Buttwoman"...
Luv Lay xx

Yes I thinks thats right.

I have posted this as I think any models male or female who are going to do boy/girl shoots should know this first.

back in '98 a guy called Marc Wallace infected half the girls hed worked with in the u.s industry sending major shockwaves through the whole business. It was after this the scene split and alot of companies such as vivid became condom only (and others such as extreme became fiercely anti!) Apparantley Wallace had known he was positive for three years and covered it up, so obviously even knowing is sometimes not enough protection against the spread of disease when there are such selfish and irresponsible people about...i guess its just a risk of the game and with the best will in the world these things cant always be avoided

I went to the states in 1996 with a few mates and you could "Dial 800 HIV". For a fee you could get a DIY HIV test, you just pricked your finger, posted it back and called a number 14 days or so later with a pin code and you would get the result.

That kinda scared me at the time as a single bloke, but now i'm married it don't. My point. Is this still available in the US. I would have thought after 6 years you could get it down superdrug now.

The necessity for HIV certs is one of the reasons which stops the likes of BD from 'cold calling' his models. No cert, no work.

Working girls are also advised to test regularly. Hence safe sex is becoming more the norm on celluloid and in the higher class escort areas.

I am sure as responsible parents, you will agree, saves locking up your daughters.

Did I read some time ago on a post from Ben that in the early days, when he picked them up off the street, they didn't always have a certificate? I could be wrong but I thought he posted this a few months ago.
