Holy Shit ! ! ! this was buried behind Foreigner, the guitar solo on 'The Hunter' took out the cones on my NS 10's its fucking unbelievable ! these guys seriously ROCKED !

how times have changed....from great bands like this to the Back street boys reforming....fuckit take me back to the fucking 80's and let me die there.

George Lynch is one of the best guitarists of the 80's. One of the most recognisable guitar tones of the time.
He tried out for Ozzy before Jake E Lee got the job.
Personally I don't like the 'Under Lock and Key' album very much. I prefer 'Breaking the chains' and 'Tooth and nail' a lot more. They softened their sound up for bigger sales.

Yeah they were a good band, I think George Lynch really moulded the Dokken sound. Think Chris oliva out of Savatage was really good as well. Good guitar playing is back in metal at moment. Maiden and Judas Priest are as popular as ever. There are loads of good bands popping up and magazines like Kerrang! now favour such true metal.

thought Kerrang! just had Good Charlotte, The Rasmus and My Chemical Romance in it personally. That mag has sucked since Geoff Barton left.

Manowar are something of a guilty pleasure I must admit. Totally cheesy and ludicrous but a great live band. 'Kings of metal' is a classic song, just for the lyrics.

Kerrang the TV channel sucks as well - granted they play some good classics and a few new ones but it seems that every time I flick through they play Eminiem & D12 or some other (c)rap! Why they're on a "rock/metal" channel I'll never know
