Good clubs in London?

Post by fudgeflaps »

I lived in London for a year some time back, but a lot of nightclubs come and go. I can hardly remember all the ones I've been to...... Chinawhites, Strawberry Moons (that moose!) and the Electric Ballroom in Camden. Hazy.

So, London Squad, I would be most grateful if can you tell me the good clubs in the following categories:

1. Wanky/ trendy/ posery (where people are too aloof and self-obsessed to actually enjoy themselves! Superficiality, bliss!)

2. Indie/ studenty

3. Themed

4. Cool/ arty/ eclectic

5. Specialist/ niche/ other. (not stripjoints! Although burlesque.....)

6. CHEAP (difficult in London, I know!)

One last question. I was bladdered one night, and a few colleagues guided me to a Polish vodka-bar off some side street. Can't remember much, may have been in Soho or past Chinatown. It was immense, despite being small! Anyone know it?

You've got to remember this is the grumpy old mens forum and as such their probably still scratching their heads as to the last time they frequented a nightclub, let alone one in London

Thanks, Deuce, much appreciated!

What I'd give to go clubbing in Australia...............

......it maybe a reality soon! Although my relatives tell me Perth is a quiet, laid-back city.

Ta,

The eastern seaboard is where you'll find all the nightlife
Sydney,Melbourne & to a lesser extent Brisbane/Goldcoast dwarf the rest of Australia when it comes to the Clubbing.Simply because thats where the vast majority of people live

Perth & Adelaide are where people come to bring up a family or retire
Those in the east love to call them Big Country towns because of their lack of nightlife
