Your quite right Eduardo, I'm sure if they make the right connections in prison they could be hailed as heros even amongst their racist brethren but my crtical eye would wonder why such a group would have as a hero, 2 arseholes who killed a defenceless studious and ambitious person.

They are the ultimate cowards in my books who hunt inpacks because they wouldnt have the balls to do it one on one. Anyone who associates or protects these two on the basis of what they did are equally cowards in my books...no matter how hard they may seem...If you bleed red, you're fair game.

Tongue in cheek remarks don't seem to get recognized on here eduardo. I was thanking you for pointing out the facts. Unfortunately some people prefer to assume outcomes that confirm their beliefs.

Please don't get the wrong idea Terry. I am in no way condoning what they did in any form and I agree with your comments but it is a completely different world in prison where gangs and different groups exist and they will indeed be championed by some of the racist elements and villified by others.

For example anyone who beats up, injures or at worse kills a copper is more than likely to be some sort of hero in prison.

Now these two might get sorted out and they might not but as I said before it will probably depend on who they befriend and who takes a disliking to them.

This is not America. It would go to the appeal court and then the House of Lords. However this is all academic. The death penalty is not coming back in the UK.

We are used to seeing (in movies and TV) the very obvious gangs in US prisons. Am I right in assuming that although these do exist in British prisons the system doesn't allow them to be so overt?

............and you forgot the European Court.

I spoke to a solicitor in my local about this a year or two back and he reckoned it would cost more here because of the European Court.

Oh and thanks for pointing out that we don't live in America. I never knew that.................

I couldn't tell you because I have no first hand experience of US prisons.

With UK prisons then it varies from prison to prison. Some the gangs run riot in and others they are kept in check.

The same with drugs. Some have that freely available and others are dry.
