The CIA and Torture

Post by Jacques »

Was Condi was lying through her teeth all week? If she was lying should we end our 'Special Relationship' the USA? Should we end it anyway?

Discuss.

Since WW2, no organisation has matched the CIA's appetite for torture, terrorism and undemocratic meddling in foreign governments. They make Al Qaida look like amateurs. It's a shame our government is the most poodle-like in dealing with America.

For starters, let's get rid of US military bases. They turned up in 1942 and never left... the French threw them out decades ago.

Aw c'mon Jacques don't you ever watch the movies...Its like real life man. Even the americans think the CIA are shady...but lets face it, if you go up against terrorists you cant send in boy scouts to deal with them just like if you deal with hard nosed thugs don't send in the salvation army....Fire must be fought with fire and the CIA as well as any group, similar to them are a necessary evil I'm sorry to say....

I don't approve of the Russian way of dealing with terrorists but deep down I can understand the message they send out...Don't give in to terrorists with hostages, just blow the whole fucking lot of them up and send a message plain and simple...Wwe dont negotiate with terrorists!

If I was a hostage in Russia to some terrorist I would expect to die...Thats the message I get.

Condol (whatever her name is ) Rice is just givng the spin with a smile on her face....Of course she's lying but she is lying so well for her country that even she believes her own lie.

What do you expect? Honesty ?

"Since WW2, no organisation has matched the CIA's appetite for torture, terrorism and undemocratic meddling in foreign governments."

So what?

"Al Qaida look like amateurs"

Phew, that's a relief then.

"For starters, let's get rid of US military bases."

Pray, why?

"They turned up in 1942 and never left..."

So what? Don't you want their Yankee dollars?

In fact what's your agenda anyway, Strictly? Why do you feel the need to run down your own side? Why do you question alliances that have served this country very well over the last 50 years and more? And why do you question alliances that have given you the prosperity and lifestyle you now enjoy (compared with less enlightened parts of the world). All this nonsense seems to me to be idiotic, perverse, and supremely pretentious (you're not by any chance middleclass, are you?). Or is it some cunningly evil plan? Are you in reality an agent of Al-Quida? North Korea or Iran? Are you here to spread doubt, discontent, and general bollocks? I just can't work out why someone with a privileged life and life chances should come out with such crap? There are countless millions in the third world who would gladly swap places with you if you are so upset about our (comparatively tame) ways of protecting our lifestyles and interests. They wouldn't give the slightest dam about Guantanamo, rendition and the CIA. Hey, they would fuckin' rejoice that they were so fortunate.

Don't look a gift horse to closely in the mouth, Strictly. Be thankful for what you have. If bad things happen to third world scumbags and idiots, well, they probably had it coming to them? So, yet another reason too be cheerful.

I'm with the great philosopher Bob Marley on this one, Terry:

"I'm singing
When the cats away
The mice will play
Political violence fill ya city
Yea-ah!
Don't involve Rasta in your say say
Rasta don't work for no C.I.A"

They're an evil bunch of muthafuckas, IMHO... and if you don't see me tonight, I'm probably in an orange jumpsuit on my way to Guantanamo.
