Re: Lost my Address bar-help
Thanks Jacques..tried that,and yes it's ticked..nothing!
Re: Lost my Address bar-help
In that case I suspect a javascript from the site you visited may be behind it. Clean up your internet history/cache and try again.

Re: Lost my Address bar-help
Also have a look in Tools--> Internet Options --> Advanced and see if there is a Disable Address Bar option checked.

Re: Lost my Address bar-help
Right click at the top of the screen, but below the title bar (Title Bar = the coloured one that say Microsoft Internet Explorer), and make sure that address bar is checked. This is the same as going to View -> Toolbars though.
If There is no title bar visible, hit F11 on your keyboard.

If windows 98 has restore you could try doing that. Restore takes your computer settings back to a previous days settings

Re: Lost my Address bar-help
Tried that everyone-seems it's fallen into a black hole,& that site I briefly looked at,not tits and bums I might say, gobbled it up.It's not serious though, everything I had stored there is in my hand written black book,or on 'favourites'.
Anything else I'll go through the search engines.
A nuisance though, just shows you how careful you must be when 'trawling'and the dangers that lurk around each corner.

Ok Prof try this:
View --> Toolbars and uncheck the Lock the Toolbars option. Hopefully you should see the word address?
Aside of the word Address you should see a verticle line of dots, put your cursor(pointer) over that verticle line until it turns into a 2 sided arrow then hold your left mouse button down and drag either downwards or sidewards until your Address bar appears then release the left mouse button.
Then View --> Toolbars and check the Lock the Toolbars option.
