It's very easy for you to scoff, Mr Layne, but some of us had to sit our advanced socialist and communist exams before we were allowed to wear our po-faces. Many was the time, after forgetting which seven-year plan was which, I'd have to stand in the corner with my Trotsky hat on while being ridiculed.

Arnie, this place is used to let off steam. Sometimes, people go too far and genuine barnies kick off. Ignore those you have no time for or habitually disagree with, and they won't get to you.

Arnold...... I don't know you from Adam, and bear no grudge. But, you must admit, the way you have went about getting your membership annulled is a bit...strange.

You could have e-mailed admin personally, using 'e-mail', make a quick, quiet, dignified exit. The fact that you have made a POST out of it leads me to believe that you either want to cause a fuss (like Alex Higgins losing a snooker match and blaming all and sundry for his own failings), to get attention/ or reaction from your detractor/(s) or to get sympathy and get crawlers to say, "Arnie, mate, don't go..."

This forum has always peaked & troughed and that has more to do with who's contributing more than any political views

A perfect example is when nearly every topic starts with a Negative Slant

It just bings the whole tone of forum down and then the extreme political views from both the left & the right usually rear their ugly heads

Very easy to be negative and spout off but being positive seems to be beyond quite a few thesedays
