Canon digital SLR

Is there a Canon digital SLR that will take normal 35mm EOS lenses or do they have to take digital lenses ?
IF they do whats a good model to buy ?

EOS Autofocus SLR system uses EF lenses which are compatible with DSLR

Rommo,

Take some good advise from moi TRY and get one that takes BOTH ef-s and EF as you can save a few quid here and there

Or better still try and get Full Frame of a lower PoV

Look for 1.3 rather than 1.6 theres a few cameras that do that

Your problem with 1.6 is a 28mm lens ends up as like 46mm lens

EF Length x 1.6 = Digital Length

Well if you can afford it and you're used to using your EOS optics on a film camera and want to maintain the same field of view then the EOS5D has got to be a good bet if you can afford it since it has a full sized sensor (and hence no 1.6x "magnification" effect.

If that is out of your price range then the other Canon's will be too. Have a look at the Nikon D50 - Curry's currently have this for ?389 which is a stunning camera at that price!!!

er...not quite right,I am not a pro and so dont need ?1.800 worth of camera !!!
somthing upto ?500 will be ok as long as it uses 35mm EOS lenses.
using a nikon will not be ok as then I will have to buy more lenses !!!!

Shop around then as you should get a 300D or 350D for just over ?500
