if you want to have a 'good debate' why not start by properly explaining your reasons for feeling dissatisfied?

many producers visit this forum on a regular basis and welcome *constructive* criticism, as it helps them to improve their product. your post was worthless because you gave no explanation of what it was you took issue with.

this is the hallmark of the troll, as his primary interest isn't in what he's criticising but in how much he can wind other people up. your post also tended towards the abusive, which is not acceptable when discussing something as trivial as a video/dvd. polite criticism is not an oxymoron, even though 'the right to snarl' seems an accepted part of the net constitution for a lot of people.

btw, if you or anyone else has had a post removed from this forum, it's because:

a) it breached the site faq (have you read it?)

b) it was attached to a thread containing other posts in breach of the site faq

c) you have persistently trolled the forum to the extent that we delete your posts to annoy you as much as you have annoyed us!

d) (woodgnome's unofficial rule of thumb) your post contained something along the lines of - "if this post is deleted, it proves what a bunch of fascists you all are".

To go totally against the grain of this discussion, i believe that beefcake made a valid point, albeit in an inarticulate manner. He said he paid ?25 for a vid which he thought was crap, a vid featuring British girls, so he was
entitled to have his opinion.

If the maker of the vid then comes on and says 'delete this post, he's slagging off my film, therefore he's a troublemaker', then he totally , in my humble opinion, misunderstands what this forum is all about, ie an exchange of opinions whether you agree with them or not.For the moderator of the forum to acquiesce to this request is shameful.

If Beefcake is a notorious poster of uninformed bollocks then i will retract what i say, but if he is merely a punter trying to express an honest opinion then i believe he has a right to do so, otherwise this forum, which is generally a superb source of info and humour, will degenerate into a Stalinesque, Blairesque discussion group where all film makers are above criticism and we all have to toe the party line which says all british films are brilliant per se, all british film makers are geniuses and all british porn actresses are gorgeous.
