You know what really fucks me off about this story (if you can call it that) is that with the World Cup less than 6 months away and at a time when we should all (well english people anyway) be getting behind our national team then that toe rag of a paper sets up an undercover sting to trap Ericcson and to undermine it all just so they can sell a few more papers.

Whatever happened to patriotism.

I feel these Entrappment/Stings do have a role to play. Lets face it he didn't have to go to the meeting etc. etc. and no one forced him to do/say anything......
The only problem is whether to believe what is written in papers but if it is backed up with video then it helps.

I do agree we need all the support from papers and public for our team.
I can just remember 1966 and what a great feeling that was.

He was invited to the meeting on the pretense that they wanted to set up a sporting academy and went with the blessing of the FA. If someone during that meeting starts to bounce other business ideas off him what's the problem, I bet there's lots of things in there that they didn't bother to print

The fact that Sven most likely has a get out clause which he can use just after the World Cup won't sway the negative sentiment

Lets get real,secret talks take place all the time involving contracted players & managers

Someone actually staying to the end of their contract would be rare

Commons sense says it would be better for Sven to go straight after the World Cup if his record is 0 and 3

Rather than another Euro near miss and leaving the incoming Manager under 2 years and just the world Cup Qulaifiers and friendlies to see wether he's made any improvments before the next World Cup.

my vote would be for Curbishley, Maclaren hasn't done much even with lots of cash, I would have gone for Alladyce but his teddy out of the pram act with Alan Green showed him in a pretty bad light, how's he gonna react with the media pressure of the England job

I think you're all missing the major point here.
