And who invented the mag lev motor? Eric Laithwaite Professor of electrical engineering, Imperial College, London in the 1960s.

Will we ever see one working in the UK where it was invented? I doubt it.

It would be no use in the U.K. we could never run it on time or there would be leaves on the line or the wrong sort of snow and we would need to build more high speed lines as our rail system is to congested for a train of this speed to run efficiently, great piece of engineering though.
