Absolutely superb!!!
The lead actor was FANTASTIC, he portrayed Tony amazingly- layers of cheese, overexaggeration to crazy levels of comedic effect, topped off with a garnish of daftness. The crazed, glazed manic look in tandem with the trademark political gestures was quite surreal and a masterful piss-take.
It was all good- the programme has probably painted the man in a good light. However, with many friends and peers contributing- with particular reference to the sex parties and the ladieeezzz- the terms 'nothing much happened' and 'perfectly innocent' were sprinkled about like confetti, suggesting that they were protecting the dignity of Their Mate Tony whilst sparing him any unnecessary justifications to Cherie.
He was probably watching, and laughing- at least the guy has a bit of character. Could they do such a prog on Cherie?? Fuck, no! The highest mark in the bar exam in the UK for her year....... she would have been a shameless swot in her youth.
Ironically, more of a homage than a piss-take: good fun.
