Has anyone else been in a situation and heard an ironic song.
Two that spring to mind for me is "Last Christmas" by Wham playing on local radio whilst sunbathing in Malta in 90 degree heat!!!! and the other is "My heart will go on" (Theme from Titanic) playing in a bar on a ferry to france (Wet myself hearing that one) and "fat bottomed girls" by queen whilst doing a mens mag shoot stark bollock naked!!!!!

Re: Songs in unlikely places
Had a quickie in a pub toilets once - the song on the jukebox was Nirvana's 'Come as you are'. We were rumbled and now almost 15 years later it's still being sung to me by my so called 'friends'.

Re: Songs in unlikely places
I had a experience with the theme from Titanic as well.
We was on holiday in Arizona and crusing around a lake on a pleasure boat sitting in the bar on the front of the upper deck. The weather was hot 100+ degrees and blooming Celine Dion being played on the ships speakers.
So us reserved Brits having had a few sherberts re-enacted the "Top of the World" scene with me and my wife standing at the front with the rest chucking their ice cubes from their drinks.
We sat down to a round of applause and a Sceptic brought us a round of drinks.

When I got my driving licence back in the early 80's after a years ban. I got into my mums Datsun 120Y car to go off and play footie, sat in it and reflected for a second, turned on the radio and the DJ introduced Davys On The Road Again by Manfred Manns Earth Band.

Re: Songs in unlikely places
Slightly offbeat one. Twenty-odd years back, in Majorca, watching a group of German tourists dancing away quite oblivious to the fact that the music was Mel Brooks's Hitler Rap.

Not a song in an unlikely place but a TV show.
I once found myself watching 'Keeping Up Appearances' in a Dutch brothel.
I know.
Life is strange.
