Do Ya Wanna Touch Me (Oh Yeah)

Post by dynatech »

Yes, knee-jerk reactions. People are controlled by the media, it dictates what they talk about and what they view as important. There are many vile acts perpetrated by all sorts of society customs, regimes and corruption throughout the world all with far-reaching consequences for us all, the antics of some bothersome 2-bit cabaret act has-been with a text-book fetish for teenagers and apparantly tweenies too is of little consequnce to any of us. I would have thought that his conviction for having downloaded those vile pictures would have made him a prime target for hungry tabloid journo's, his inabilty to maintain anonyminity on the other side of the world is just a manifestation of his obvious ego-problem and it made him an irresistable target. I'm not interesting in defending those guilty of such acts, though the governments of these places that profer child prostitution should be taken to task more for having such a hit&miss policy on such matters; but nor am I interested in promoting someone who made 6 great singles 33/34 years and hasn't produced anything of merit since 1973 from what he is - a sad sordid old pervert (of which there are many more in our society)- into some kind of public enemy number one; if indeed he is guilty he practised his creepy antics in a country that only looks into such crimes when reminded to by the gutter press.
And let us not forget that the industry that rewarded his lack of talent with come-back after come-back, long after the one-trick pony had passed his sell-by date, the same industry that overlooked his legendary sleazy appetite for young girls; is the self-same multi-million-pound industry that is now trying to erase the memory of "the leader"... I believe there is a special programme on glam rock tonight on tv, my guess is they will laughably fail to mention Mr 1973 as if he had never existed. Perspective is a wonderful thing, pity it's so rarely practised.

I have just seen Gary Glitter Come Home on BBC3.

Even Glitter's own lawyer admitted that he thought Glitter was guilty of the charges and Glitter has the bare faced cheek to totally deny all charges. Glitter paid the family of 2 young CHILDREN $2000 each, I wonder why as Glitter says he was just teaching them to learn to speak english.

3 years is a disgrace, I thought he was facing the firing squad. I would have paid at least $2000 to be able to pull the trigger!!!!!!!!!!!

None of that matters. The act is the act.

All this will do will get him deported back here with the added cost of hiding him (out of our tax's) Felt better when he was out there, The parents will still pimp their kid's to the tourists so nothing will change apart from next time he does it, it will be one of ours. Nice job newspapers.

Doing Alright With The Boys

Post by dynatech »

Well, that is dependent on whether the act was committed. If I was a Sun journo I would have just have paid the girls families a few grand (a fortune to them) to go to the police and accuse him of x, y & z, the paper can then bring their plight to the attentions of their readership and an otherwise disinterested Vietnamese system and hey presto! The idiot has set himself up for the fall that much is true.
Given that they'll go to extraordinary lengths to set up good people like Sven, they (nor anyone else) aren't going to apply any form of professional morals to setting up a convicted paedo (or a "bad man" in 70's speak). I aren't defending the prick but corruption works both ways and it's naive to pretend otherwise.

I thought it was the Daily Mail that broke this story.

It was great watching the judge wipe the smile off that little fucker's face.
I think the Vietnamese will deport him ASAP.

Talking about Thai prisons....has anyone read The Damage Done? A book written by an Aussie who spent 12 years in prison in Thailand for smuggling heroin. Fuckin hell! Brutal stuff!
