I'm really glad Tessa Jowell is innocent

Post by Ace »

Because after the scandalous accusations involving the "private" dealings of amongst others: Geoffrey Robinson, Peter Mandelson, Keith Vaz, David Blunkett, Tony and Cherie Blair Peter Mandelson (again) and David Blunkett (again) I was beginning to think that the Country I love was being governed by a group of people dedicated to furthering their own interests both Politically and Financially.

Today I can feel reassured that all is well at the top and this scurrilous accusation initiated by the Jowells own accountant, and perpetuated by those nasty Italian Fraud squad investigators (who even applied for extradition against "Mr Jowell" but were luckily denied by some help from a top cabinet source and Mr Berlusconi himself) is nothing more than a cheap attempt at mudslinging by people who obviously cannot afford to own 5 houses let alone re-mortgage them for ?1.3 million and then pay those mortgages off in a matter of weeks whilst still keeping the money borrowed in a high yield account.

Such financial acumen should be recognised and applauded yet as is our wont in this glorious Country people are quick to knock success. Obviously driven purely by envy they will stop at nothing, even passing on details about the foreign funny money to the Police in their pathetic attempts to have these talented entrepreneurs subjected to public scrutiny and ridicule.

Ms Jowell has stated that she knew nothing about the $600,000 dollar gift and I for one believe her. Besides Sir Gus O'Donnell or just plain old Gus as he's known to his friends in the cabinet (read Blair and Jowell) and the illustrious and unblemishable Mr Blair himself both say she's innocent so that's three of us now so if you still don't believe her that must mean not only are you wrong but you're also some sort of terrorist and therefore can be locked up for months without charge if you even attempt to express dissent.

Oh yes. All is well in this green and pleasant land. The land of Chaucer and Shakespeare, of Tennyson and Kipling, of Tolkien and Orwell ......

Sh!t did I say Orwell? bugger there's nothing whatsoever Orwellian about this. I mean he wasn't even British was he? American probably. Yeah I remember now, Irish/American from Lithuania so quite probably a Communist at that.

Now where was I? Oh yes the land of Fleming, Higgins and Rowling, the land of flying pigs...........

Are you American, Steve? I only ask as you don't seem to grasp the concept of satire.

Anyone who does business with Silvio must be honest. Doesn't he give the Blairs free holidays?
