Dave Gilmour's new single has Crosby and Nash singing backing vocals as they just happened to be at the studio during recording. That was handy.

BBC red button show

Post by Ned »

Not sure if you're aware of a short, 30 minute, show from this Radio 2 concert, which is available on BBCi until March 14th. It's on a loop, repeating on the hour/half hour and only runs for three songs (!) but it's worth a look, so hit your red button (if you have one) :-)

Loved it, but then I love any opportunity to see DG bending those strings.

I like the alternative arrangements he brings to WYWH when he's on solo outings. I actually think I enjoyed Hammersmith on the About Face tour far more than I enjoyed Floyd on the Momentary Lapse tour. Never had the chance to see them before that. Wish he would play some of the stuff off his first two solo albums, but then I suppose if I was going I would happily trade those for you-know-what :-)

He seems to have a bit of a throat problem at the moment, but not enough to be a serious issue - he was able to work around it quite well I though. Anyway, 60 year olds are allowed a touch of croakiness hear and there, and who cares as long as his finger are still working to full effect.
