What it usually means by somebody returning to a soap is that they have come to realise that their career has gone down the pan outside of that show. Ross Kemp has played the same characters as what he does in Eastenders

VERY predictable he returned. EE producers are shitting themselves over axing characters that had 'something' (although THAT escapes me) and getting in too many new faces that are quite honestly, dire.
The new bint Dawn looks sexy but cannot act past looking shocked with her mouth open.
The REAL waste of talent in the show is the excellent Phil Daniels. What was his agent thinking when he put this Phils way?
My personal favourite character is John Bardon who plays Jim Branning.

frankly i have little time for him, outside of eastenders he has done fuck all really, a couple of shat dramas on ITV where he plays a tough guy again - very boring, very predicatble.
Ross Kemps wife can fuck off too, though i take my hat off to her for giving him a slapping about not so long ago!
