Carrying Knifes

Interesting fact...............................

The Police force......sorry Police service............have had "silent" orders not to charge people carrying knifes, from other parts of the world, i.e. Somilia, who are now resident in the UK. They are given a booklet explaining that this country does not allow this (In 9 different languages). This is even if they are "caught" time after time. Its all part the UK carring for all.

I wonder if I was stopped with a 10" blade on me walking down the road, what would happened to me ????????

IF that is true it is disgraceful. I suppose some of the type of people who dreamed up that one will argue that if they use the knife in an assault or murder they shouldn't be prosecuted. Whatever happened to "when in Rome..."?

Too true , why don't they make them learn the lingo then teach them the laws of the land before opening up the doors and the benefits system to them ? I was shocked 2 years ago on going for the theory driving test as part of my bike lisence , 2 afgans chatting away , the guy at the test centre explained "he can take it in afgan , or even bustu if he wants" i nearly fell through the floor when 1 said "that's ok he can't speak english" . !shocked!

Actually, Von does have a point. Some religions allow a knife to be carried, and with the compensation culture in full flow, the Police cannot afford a claim by ethnic minorities for abusing their human rights/religion etc.
When I used to chef freelance, my knives were as sharp as scalpels and had to be locked in a case and transported in the boot of my car. I gave a lift home to a waitress, and we went over those bastard speed humps causing my knives to rattle like mad, she asked if was my exhaust pipe and when I casually mentioned, 'Oh, its just my knives' she was shocked and had visions of a Jack-the-Ripper character driving her home. Thats what she told me when I saw her again, and she STILL ponced a lift from me!!
