Fikin expert on this lads. Hi-Def is superb, but expensive. Everything about it is, The higher the def the better, yes there is more than 1, in UK 720, 1080 and higher. These cheap hi-def camera's don't really do the as they process using key frames and this does not edit very well in hi-def. They are good quality cameras which is why the picture quality is good, it would be just as good onto Mini-DV or DV-Cam....I have just experianced Hi-def at the highest level and it is top class. We will be launching 3 mainstream hi-def over IP and 1 adult channel over IP to TV. We have an IPTV set-top box arriving in about a month with DVI out on them. They might even have a Hi-def DVD player in them.
Yes the World Cup will be on Hi-def but hard to work out how to view it as SKY don't have rights and no one else is ready in UK. Freeview is on DVB and it is not ready and never will be for Hi-Def.
