I am fairly new to computers so my knowledge is minimal. My isp is now ntl, but they have so far failed to let me set up an email address with them, so I use yahoo or hotmail. When I click on the name of someone who has posted, it logs me into hotmail, but does not show me the email address of the poster that I am replying to. My question is this, how do I find the email address of a bgafd poster, in order that I can reply in private to them? Double clicking on their name does not seem to do it for me........
Many thanks

mailto:benspal69@yahoo.co.uk?subject=Technical question from Homer!
take mailto: off so you get
benspal69@yahoo.co.uk
doesn't clicking on the author bring up outlook express send message form?

Re: Technical question from Homer!
I cannot use Outlook Express as it will not accept hotmail or yahoo as an email account because they are not pop3, whatever that means! My only means of sending/receiving email at the mo' is via web based mail, hotmail/yahoo/lycos until ntl get their finger out & help me set one up!

Re: Technical question from Homer!
try using this -
its like outlook express but lets you use hotmail, yahoo etc..
what you do is put the details about as many e-mail address' that you have and it will import any new messeges you get into your Imail application, saves you from logging into yahoo, then hotmail, then ntl or aol or bt (etc..) you just have to log into this and it will do it all for you.
also it lets you jazz up your e-mails (so to speak)

Re: Technical question from Homer!
I think Hotmail and Yahoo have started, or at least are going to start charging for linking their accounts to Outlook, etc. Thats what I've heard any way!!
benspal - easiest way to get an authors email address I guess is to right click on the authors name and select 'copy shortcut'. Then right click and paste this into your email program. Remoce the bit at the start that says mailto: and the bit the after the ? too as mentioned b4.
