Betting on the World Cup

Anybody put any bets on yet? Post here if you have and we can all have a good laugh when you lose your money,

I just put a tenner on Ghana to beat Italy. I read some good things about Ghana and Italy are nearly as good as us at cocking it all up against lower tier opposition.

i bet that japan will reach the last 4 of the world cup along with brazil, germany and england!!!!!!!

But you haven't bet on it have you? Has anyone put any money on any match?

I'm keen to see who's put their money where their mouth is.

Ghana have Essien of Chelsea and Muntari of Udinese.

They won their qualifying group ahead of DR Congo and South Africa, losing only one game.

But I wonder if Essien may fall foul of the strict refs. Some of his tackles can be real horrors.

Before the tournament started, I had bets on:
Holland winning the world cup,
Brazil failing to reach the final,
Klose winning the golden boot,
England and Italy failing to reach the second round,
South Korea making the second round.

*whispers* I have Argentina to win the world cup.

And the Czech Republic to get knocked out at the semis.

A few matches have occurred yet. The Germans are not at their best, neither are the English. Argentina is OK. We're now waiting to see what the Italians can do. But, IMHO, Brazil should win very easily.
