I do agree that in terms of the license fee its another kick in the teeth, but I also love JR. I think he's got the balance of host and humour perfect now but to be honest, for one friday night show and a radio prog 18million is pushing it!

Christ Moyles' ?600,000 is put into perspective now....what - 3 million people listen to that every morning ? (cant remember how many) and thats every weekday morning for 3 hours....hm!

I like the guy- unlike many of the celebs he interviews, he has genuine charisma, wit and the air of the 'cheeky-chappy' about him...........he seems to be too much of a family man to have an ego or to take himself too seriously.

Most of his material is prepped, yes, but he IS genuinely quick-witted and a big kid at heart.

?18m though? This doesn't apply to Wossy himself- NOBODY is worth that. Muhammad Ali in his prime, yeah.........Nelson Mandela, maybe all four of the Beatles.............
