Virus help??

Hope someone can help me out here?

I went and viewed Poppy Morgan's site earlier today and ever since i've had this really f##king annoying music coming out of my speakers, a real thumping sound! Just can't get rid of it.

I have run ad aware and spy doctor and still the music thumps on. Only hear it when on the net so must be some sort of virus?

before some helpful person says turn the volume down,thats what i've done however, if it's a virus of some sort i want to get rid of it asap.

as anyone else had this sort of trouble if so please let me know how you sorted it out?

Do you browse the web with firefox? If not then try it out..... Do not use Internet Explorer!!

Dunno if it's a virus though. Try scanning for adware with Windows Defender, it's free, made by microsoft and is very good & unintrusive. You can download it here:

I can't see Poppy giving potential fans a virus but someone coulda hacked her site (someone she's pissed off maybe?), so I'd stick to using Firefox when viewing web pages from now on. It's safer and very customisable!

Is your ISP aol? If it is, I had the same problem yesterday - turned out to be an ad on their welcome page for noise pollution!

heard that IE is crap and yet i still use it, will give firefox a go and will get those downloads you mentioned

my ISP is aol so that will be the cause

wasn't blaming Poppy its just that after the visit the noise started
