Israelis are deliberately killing civilians
Re: Israelis are deliberately killing civilians
Right, personally i'm not a person to mince my words and i have strong opinions or should i say a factual insight on many of the current wars on-going throughout the world particularly ones where British troops are concerned as i have a military backround.
The original thread clearly stated that Lebanon is a 'democratic' country that has been wrongly targeted. I'm sorry but how can a so called democratic country harbour terrorists and extremists, and if Lebanon was so democratic and innocent then why is it that Hezbollah is seen more as a national army then a terrorist organisation by the vast majority of Lebonese people.
Personally i believe that Hezbollah made a BIG MISTAKE in kidnapping two Israeli soldiers as we all know that Israel's military forces don't piss about and as we have seen in the fighting with Palestinians in Gaza they take a hardline approach.
To be honest i get bored with all these soppy twats out there that moan about civilians getting caught up in these conflicts as it's not like it's a new thing as we've seen on many occasions in the past, i.e The Blitz , that civilians get caught up in these things and there is nothing we can do about it.
At least Israel have the balls to carry out there threats, unlike our shitty establishment who are far more concerned with negotiating in a warfare situation.
Having served in the Armed Forces for 15 years i know how good our Armed Forces are but it seems our 'be the best' image is rapidly falling apart as there are two many conventions to abide by and too many squealish news reporters looking over your shoulder only reporting on the civillian casualties and not on the people like Hezbollah who instigate the conflict.
For example how many shots do you see on the news of Hezbollah extremists firing mortars and rockets into Israel and at Israeli troops. None whatsoever as the news will always use the emotive material and make out that countries such as Israel are the 'bad guys'.
You have to remember that Israel has suffered terrorist attacks for the past what 50 years at least from Palestinians, so it's no suprise that when a terrorist group kidnaps two of their soldiers they're going to be a tad pissed off about it.

Israel created the Haganah (Or Defence) in the 1920's, an underground army....something that today wold have been classed as a "terrorist" group or militant wing. Then you come to the the Irgun Zwei Leumi and the Lehi, or Stern Group, who began a brutal campaign of assassinations, bombings, kidnappings, intimidations, disruptions and sabotage. Their actions were directed against Briton, Arab and even Jews.
In 1947, on April 9, Jewish fighters massacred scores of Palestinian villagers, including old people, women and children, in the West Jerusalem village of Deir Yassin, causing widespread panic and greatly augmenting the flight of Palestinians from their homes across the country.
One mans terrorist is another mans freedom fighter.

You ask a good question and the answer is simple. Hizbullah is the only army in Lebanon capable of defending against an Israeli attack. THAT's why it is supported across Lebanon, by both Muslims and Christians.
Israel has a history of aggression against Lebanon. That's why Hizbullah exists in the first place - Israel indirectly created it by attacking Lebanon in the past.
The word "terrorism" has been the most misused word in the world since 9/11. You like to call Hizbullah terrorist but not the IDF? Iraqi suicide bombers are terrorists but the US army assault on Fallujah was not a terrorist attack? The word has become almost meaningless. Terrorism takes place on every side.

I have to disagree with you on this. It's not about religion, it's about land grabs and imperialism. Israel is a European colony that was created through a terrorist campaign and has consistently tried to stretch its borders since it was created. If Hizbullah didn't exist, Israel's northern border would move further North. If the Palestinians didn't fight occupation, there would be even more settlements in the West Bank.
When Israel was founded, it was seen as a left wing state and supported by many people on the left as a progressive entity. Over the decades it has become just a paranoid, racist, aggressive and imperialistic nation.

The betrayal is because Jews (like myself) were brought up to believe that Israel is the greatest place on earth and has every right to that little piece of land. It's not comfortable to discover you were brought up with lies.

Re: Israelis are deliberately killing civilians
Good point - not many people realise that Jewish terrorist groups like the Stern Gang used to blow up Palestinian civilians.

It's just too bad nobody else sees it that way. Most if not all people side with Is-it-real.
