Nudity in 1970's early 80's TV
There did seem to be a lot of it in those days. Can any of our older readers remember any particularly good examples? I dont just mean dramas, but also comedy, such as Spike Milligans Q9, Tarrants OTT, anything with Madelaine ( tits to die for) Smith in it, I could go on....
Re: Nudity in 1970's early 80's TV
I recall an edition of Tomorrow's World where they had a nude model in a bubble bath for demonstration purposes (can't recall what the piece was about or the gadget being shown)----only the heat from the studio lights had reduced the bubbles to almost nought.
There was a classic Dave Allen sketch involving a duel between two old men where their sexy young companions (including one Linzi Drew) stripped off to induce heart attacks.
Dramas: adaptation of The Girls Of Slender Means where Mirian Margolyes got her boobs stuck while trying to get out of a window. An adaptation of Eyeless In Gaza where a rather fetching young filly (just checked IMDB and only Adrienne Corri is credited) stripped right off in the sunshine. And Shabby Tiger, with Prunella Gee's lovely bosoms on show.
Just a few among many.

Some drama with Jon Finch where in the background, and in a scene set in a cabaret club, the lovely Susie Silvey strips off and simulates sex with a black guy. Oddly enough, they never repeated the programme...
Linzi Drew again in There's A Lot Of It About, the last proper Spike Milligan series, where he pops up in 'exotic' locations as 'David Attenborough', introducing a silent Miss Drew as 'a bird with big tits'. She just has to sit on a deckchair and sip cocktails!

Re: Nudity in 1970's early 80's TV
There was far more full frontal nudity on tv back in the 70s than now and a lot of the middle aged actors and actresses of today bared all years ago just to get their names known whereas these days all people have to do is go on programmes like Big Brother or Love Island and act like a cunt and become celebs overnight!sad!

Linda Bellingham, Madelaine Smith (where she now?), ...I'm sure others can recall more of them.
Re: Nudity in 1970's early 80's TV
The History Man with Antony Sher had quite a bit of flesh action, I seem to remember. That was about 1980 ... Isla Blair, Geraldine James etc.
Re: Nudity in 1970's early 80's TV
Spike Milligan's 'Q9' featured some nudity. Some of the girls were very busty.

PEOPLE think Stephen Hawking is so clever, but when you ask him a question and he is typing in the answer on his little screen, how do we know he isn't just looking up the answer on the Internet?
