I should have known better...
Week 1: I selected John Terry as my captain, he scored and I got 24pts
Week 2: I selected Andrei Schevchenko as my captain (I thought he stood a greater chance of scoring a goal, and believed the chances of Terry scoring in consecutive games a little remote). He scored and I got 16pts.
This week I selected Steven Gerrard as my captain (Playing West Ham against whom he'd had a great game in the Cup Final... and he's due a goal). He didn't score. He had a subdued game. I got 4pts.
The moral of this tale... never, EVER entrust the captaincy of your side to a Scouse scally!!!
I have now returned the captain's armband to Sheva for next weeks games.

Jacques I ve noticed Bob's post about changing captains.
I've put some of my 1st choices as Subs and vice versa.
Can it be changed and if so how?
Cheers
Andy

The subs are changed automatically for you, if one does better than your 1st choice then you get a substitution. You can change the priority and the captain by clicking 'My Team'.
At least that is my understanding.

Not quite... if you have a player in your first choice XI who doesn't play then he'll be substituted automatically with your highest choice sub that did play.
Let's say you have chosen a 4-4-2 formation. Now let's say one of your 4 first choice defenders doesn't play. Then let's assume that all your subs have played.
If your first choice sub is a defender you'll still have a 4-4-2 formation. However if you have a striker as your first choice sub then "the game" will substitute him for your defender and change your formation to 3-4-3.
If only one of your subs played, say a midfielder, then you'll have a 3-5-2 formation.
HOWEVER... if all your players, first choice AND substitutes, play and score points, "the game" DOES NOT substitute players to give you the highest points total. Automatic substitutes only occur when a first choice player doesn't play and a substitute player does.
