I didn't say that at all, if you read my post properly without SNAP JUDGEMENTS, you might get an idea of what I actually meant.

What I actually posted was this:

What I was referring to is the point that this company is NOT offering the work to ANYONE in the UK, he is directly handing over the work to the Spanish people, & bringing them over. That is approx 2,000 more people taking work away from the people of the UK (no matter what race/creed/colour/religion), & approx 2,000 more people needing housing/etc (even if it is only temporary).
Now I DID NOT say that it was not ok for people to come here, but it is ok for us to go there.
As a matter of fact, I DO NOT agree with the British Government holding an Open Arms policy to every country in the world, we are a small Island, & have limited work/housing, compared to USA, Australia or The EU Continent.
If a few people want to emigrate to this country, fare enough, if a few people want to emigrate to another country from here, ok, but my "problem" is when we have thousands of applicants all in one go.
I used to work at Heathrow Airport, & every time I went past the Security Holding Centre, there was always a minimum of 200 people in there at any one time, all looking for immigration or asylum in the UK.
The goverment try making out the figures of those wanting to come into the UK is low, yes the Applicants are still flooding into the UK, & these holding centres are still full up. THAT IS MY ISSUE.

I agree that alot of people nowadays are too scared/snobby/self concerned to even think of woirking in low paid sectors.

Besides Skilled Jobs, I have also worked in Hospitals in Wharehouse Delivery, Road Sweeping, Cleaning Operative in Business's/Public Toilets, Wharehouse & Kitchen Assistants (a general dogs body/gopher/lacky). Granted these jobs are lowly paid & quite often can be disheartening to ones self-esteem, but if your unemplyed, need work & money, then you take what you can get.

I don't care where they come from, the influx of people is TOO GREAT, in another thread I recently posted in, we are a SMALL ISLAND with limited Job Opportunity's/Housing, the sheer amount of people trying to come into this country is TOO GREAT. A few people here or there is ok, but thousands, too much.

You like the American Idea of Chain Gangs?
To a certain degree, I think they can be useful.

Most definitely! Don't want to be treated as a slave? Don't do the crime! Just imagine all all the "unwanted" jobs the trash could fill. I'd say that they could do it all without the need for economic migrants. The only expense to the economy would be the basics of keeping them alive! Trouble is, in this country there's too many bleeding hearts who'd bleat that we're treating them unfairly.

Try hundreds of thousands! As you said, in a country as large as the US they could easily swallow that many (but won't), but in a country the size of the UK?

It's amazing that the opportunist government of ours hasn't thought yet about using this single massive cash cow who're just sitting around idle in jail!

Re: Thousands Quit UK
LOL, I was being moderate with the figures !laugh!
In the first 2 weeks of me working at Heathrow, there was over 3,000 people coming through the Immigration Office.
Yes, every time I went past, there was lots of people in the Holding Centre, constantly.
Back in the 80's the Government tried making out we were only recieving a small amount of people per year for Asylum or Immigration, yet a couple of years ago, they published a report stating that during the late 80's Immigration/Asylum seekers entering the country was approx 100,000 people. We all know the Government "fix figures", & from a guy who I know in Heathrow Airport who deals with Security, his "estimate" is more like 180,000.
The Government tried making out recently that the figures for Immigration/Asylum seekers have declined over the last 10 years.
HOW ???
During the 80's Britian was supposed to have about 85M people, the 90's 98M people, now 110M people, but again they have fixed the figures.
These figures were unofficially released by a member of the one of the offices of the government last year. The crazy thing, reading one of the statistics from the Governments own site, they reckon britain has just scratched past 60M people.
This again is pure bullshit by the government.
What about the Rate of Unemployment, again its about 3M unemployed, what a fucking Joke.
Income Support - NOT included in the Official Figures.
Job Seekers Allowance - NOT included in the Official Figures.
Disablement Benefits - NOT included in the Official Figures.
In receipt of Job Seekers Allowance, but on a Training Course - NOT included in the Official Figures.
Unemployment Benefit (paid full rate for the first 12 Weeks) - INCLUDED in the Official Figures.

Well, the Jailed Prisoners USED to sew-up the Grey Mail Bags for use in Sorting/Post Offices. Don't know if they still do, but they used to, they would get paid a small amount for every 10 bags they made/fixed/repaired.
