night out in London

Post by mutanthalibut »

I'm coming to London on sept 9th for a corporate do at the new Emirates stadium. I can't be bothered to drive back.

Can anyone recommend a good night out and where to stay? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

That's a big question... you should narrow down the options a bit. No point recommending a club if you're into ballet.

I post on this forum, so that should give some sort of clue to my general interests....So ballet wouldn't be an option.

Anyway.... Sorry for my sarcasm. A good lads night out, with a bit of decent scran and a nice place to kip. Budget not a problem, but I'm no millionaire.

I'm slightly naive to London nightlife.

Any advice would be great, thanks.

Thanks for that, I'm sure I will enjoy the game. I don't support either team but I do love football...

...But what do I do afterwards?

Cheers

Do you like music? Live or club? Rock or soul? Jazz or jungle? Lager or ecstacy? There's plenty of everything - check Time Out or whatsonwhen.com. There's always plenty on in Brixton, and ditto around Camden, the West End, Hoxton, Notting Hill. Depends what your tastes are.

Strippers? Go local and cheap in Shoreditch or expensive and upmarket at Spearmint Rhino.

Eating... just avoid the obvious tourist areas: anywhere very close to museums, theatres and hotels. Other than that you'll get good food anywhere.

Late cafes - Bar Italia in Soho or the Arabic places on Edgware Rd near Marble Arch.

Getting laid - you're either charming or you need cash. Judging from your posts I'd advise you to bring cash. !grin!

Top Man,

Thanks very much.

I don't know wether to travel in my M3 Cabriolet or Ferrari 360. I find either give me all the charm I need!cool!
