I have no problems with any manager taking a back hander. In business lots of it goes on whether its a bottle of scotch, a freebie holiday or tax free money.
Some (if not most) MPs get 'perks' which is just as bad as a back-hander.
But as I said, I have no problem with it.
Watching it last night, it was all hearsay and no evidence that Big Sam or Dodgy Harry took anything whatsoever.

What pisses me off are all the stories of "Chelsea tap up youngster" in the press today... as I recall, it was the AGENT who was offering the kid to all and sundry. Surely "tapping up" is when a club illegally approaches another club's player, not when an agent on the make asks "would you be interested?"
Furthermore "Accademy" players are not contracted (being under 17 years of age) so cannot be "tapped up".
Oh, and no mention of Liverpool in the reports, even though the kid was offered to them too!
Talk about a bias in the media against Chelsea! Same with Hansen on Monday saying Chelsea were lucky to win as Liverpool should have had a penalty... no mention of the penalty Chelsea should have had, or the fact that Liverpool should have had a man sent off long before Ballack was shown a red (ironically for fouling the Liverpool player who shouldn't have still been on the pitch!)

I am pretty sure that a lot of the information that Panorama have on tape could not legally be shown to the public ... but it sure as hell will interest the F.A.
I would be interested in finding out who the manager was that was turning up to collect his other half of the ?100,000 he had got as a bung - I would hardly call that just a perk of the job Ace!!

Auxerre vice-president Gerard Bourgoin has revealed young midfielder Vasiriki Abou Diaby visited both Arsenal and Chelsea before deciding to join Arsene Wenger's side.
The 19-year-old looks set to sign for the Gunners in a deal believed to be worth around ?2million after the French club revealed they had agreed to the sale on Thursday.
Bourgoin told L'Equipe Diaby spent Wednesday in London meeting officials from Arsenal and Chelsea, with Wenger proving the decisive factor.
'The choice belonged to Diaby, but Wenger was better than (Jose) Mourinho, that's all,' Bourgoin said.
Diaby has made only six league appearances and played twice in the UEFA Cup for Auxerre this season due to a niggling injury.
Bourgoin claimed Diaby was being sold as he is surplus to requirements at the Abbe-Deschamps.
'We have always kept the young players which our coach wanted to use,' he said.
'But Diaby did not play, so this was a strategic sale for us.'
However, coach Jacques Santini seemed disappointed to be losing another player after striker Benjani Mwaruwari moved to Portsmouth last week.

Has no one ever totted up the amount of players bought by Messrs Rednapp and Allardyce in the last few years? Every time 'arry moves to a new club, he buys at least half a dozen players asap----even when he returned to his old stomping ground at Portsmouth, after a short holiday along the coast at Southampton, he needed a major amount of players to improve the squad (the bulk of which he was responsible for).
How much is to do with improving the team and how much to do with finances (club ticket and shirt sales, or management and scouting team "incentives" for transfers)?
