Guinness and Murphy's for me, and as a lager I'm rather fond of Pilsner Urquell and the proper Budweiser Budvar.
The worst, for certain, is Miller. Almost tap water, and God knows how they make Miller lite.

Some of the Real Ales (especially those with stupid names like Maggotts Arseblaster or something like that) are absolute crap, overrated and overpraised by the so called cognoscenti. The best beer in Britain still is, the one and only Newcastle Brown Ale. A divine drink.

Deuchars IPA is always a good shout.
What does IPA stand for? In scientific circles, it's iso-propyl alcohol.
Which worries me.

Definately the worse in my opinion are these:
Carling Lager, Stella Artois, Sheep Dip (Real Ale).
Best:
Birra Moretti, Carslberg, Kronenberg 1664.
Also worth a very good mention (although it aint beer or lager) as it is my weapon of choice at the moment :
Magners Irish Cider and Ice .... mmm cheers!!

PEOPLE think Stephen Hawking is so clever, but when you ask him a question and he is typing in the answer on his little screen, how do we know he isn't just looking up the answer on the Internet?

Re: Best pint of beer / lager
Used to like Newcastle Brown when I was younger, but had a warm one about 11 years ago (pubs fridges were on the blink), and haven't touched beer since...........well, till last week when I had a Brazilian beer called Braham: It was ok, but not great.
My favourate lager is Sol (if Sol's unavailable I'll go for the Corona.) The last few times I've been out though, I've got totally hammered on that new 'Kronenbourg White', it's a little 'ciderish' though & I hate cider, but I've aquired a taste for it now & like it.
Carling, Heineken & Grolsch etc are horrid while Budwieser & Stella are average & drinkable if you're already intoxicated.

I used to spend a lot of time criticizing Islam on here in the noughties - but things are much better now.

IPA stands for India Pale Ale. It used to be sent out to the troops serving in India.
Re: Guiness
Coulny agree more Ace!!!
I have only tried Guiness once, took a sip and spat the rest into my pint. Its horrible, I would rather drink arsenic.
I nominate Magners Cider poured into a pint glass full of ice, wonderful stuff.
