I still have three players hopefully scoring me some points tonight.
Now... if only Glen Johnson can deliver the pass for a Sol Campbell headed goal, and Portsmouth keep a clean sheet, that should get me another 21pts... of course I've got to hope my third player, Yakubu, doesn't score against them... 60 minutes on the pitch, but no more, from him will give me another 2pts which would leave me only 3pts behind you... and if Sol gets the MotM award for his sterling defensive performance and his winning goal, that would put me on equal points with you!!!

Actually I've just had a thought... is there anyone who can knobble Yakubu for me before kick off tonight? If he doesn't play, "the game" will automatically substitute him for Bobby Zamora, giving me 6pts and with the 24pts from a Portsmouth clean sheet, Sol Campbell goal and MotM award with a Glen Johnson assist I'll have a 4pt lead over you "Just" !! !grin! !grin!
(Sad, aren't I?? !whistle! )

Woo-hoo, I'm in and playing catch-up- so I went for a 1st XI (well, 9 of them) of big guns with pishy cover.
Dumb-arsed question- how do I change my formation?
I makes sense for me to go 3-5-2 just now, until the mighty Stubbs returns.

Isn't Glen Johnson out injured Bob?
Thought I heard something on sky sports news about him doing his ankle in or summet.

Answers to a couple of questions here...
1) In either GRAPHICAL VIEW or DATA VIEW click the yellow box of the player you wish to move to the subs bench. Your three outfield subs will then display a green box. Click the one you wish to play.
If you started with 4-4-2 and replace a defender with a striker, "the game" will automatically change your formation to 3-4-3 for you. If you replace a midfielder with a striker you'll end up with 4-3-3, and so on.
2) Yes Johnson was injured before kick-off but the cut-off for making changes for "Gameweek 3" (ie games played Sat-Mon) was 11.30am on Saturday and at that time he was fit to play. "The Game" automatically substituted him for my highest ranked substitute who did play (in this case Bobby Zamora, changing my formation from 4-4-2 to 3-4-3 in the process)
As for going for a whole load of "stars" with a backup of crap players... can't say I'm too impressed with either Hleb (cost 7.5pts) or Stevie Gerrard (cost 10.5pts) at the moment. Gerrard I'll keep, because over the course of a season he will score goals (and therefore points), but I'm not sure how much longer I'll stick with Hleb... especially as I still have 0.8pts to play around with.
I'd be happier if Shevchenko scored a few more goals, too, though when he did I had him as my captain so I got 16pts rather than just 8pts. I have a feeling he'll come good over the course of the season, so I shan't be ditching him.
Best buys for me so far have to be my back four of Wayne Bridge, John Terry, Sol Campbell and Glen Johnson... a total of 22.5pts well spent!

We've all been a bit quiet on this front lately..........
Cactus Utd and Relegation Beckons: the Phallus is cumming at you!!
I'm pretty chuffed at playing catchup- it's going pretty well. !happy! Shevchenko is massively under-performing, but WILL come good and the Villa players are going great under O'Neill- if he wasn't in charge I would have avoided anything Brum like the plague. Amdy Faye- he was the last pick, and the best player I could get for the price: a weak link that will be punted next transfer window. Hopefully the team value keeps ascending. !nerd!
Is it true that Henrik Pedersen of Bolton, a useful striker from what have seen of him the last couple of seasons, is now being deployed as a left-back??? !confused!
Most of the forumites I can work out- tas, Carac, Bob S et al. Who is your team Jacques??
Have fun Bhoys: all that counts really is that Celtic defeated the Forces of Bad 2-0. !wink!
I'll post at the end of the gameweek. Seeyas.
