DVD repeat function
Does anyone know enough about the technology of DVD players to answer this question? Using the repeat function to put a loop onto tape I've found that it doesn't go on indefinitely and sometimes hardly lasts any time at all. It will suddenly exit the loop and continue with the programme. In fact I was doing a Supreme Moment of Michelle Thorne and the bloody thing not only carried on playing but skipped to the end of the chapter every time. Have I got a crap DVD player (quite likely) and are there makes/models I can be confident won't do this?

Re: DVD repeat function
could be that paticular moment was at a layer or chapter change and as such confused the player. try it again on another disc and see what happens. you can pick up cheap reliable, region free DVD players for about a ton nowadays, try your local safeways or tesco. they sell very good budget ones now and then.
if you got a bit of cash you can't go wrong with the big boys of electronics, toshiba, sony, pioneer and such.

Re: DVD to vhs transfer
Simple. Plug your scart lead into your dvd player & the other end into your vhs recorder, press record when the dvd is playing & you "transfer" the dvd pic to vhs! This does not work on dvd's that have macrovision, but this rarely happens on porno's & even if it did, there are ways around it.
