What he said was immodestly-dressed women ? by his definition, those who don't wear the hijab or other head covering according to Islamic custom ? are like "uncovered meat".

Of course, we take it for granted that we can throw eggs at a politicians without being beheaded, and we can call Tony Blair a lying bastard without fearing personal harm to ourselves or our family. Of course we complain about a little censorship, or the introduction of ID cards, but compared to the rest of the world, and compared to any other time in history.........we're free.

A North Korean, Chinaman, Iranian, or Zimbabwean reading these boards must think we're crazy that we complain so much about the amount of cameras on our streets. Sometimes we need to take stock, and be thankful of our position within the world.
