Fianally I got my chance to go the the new Arsenal stadium on Saturday. I was so excited. My friend had five passes for the platinumn seats, which I was over the moon to be invited.
However I was so dissapointed with the atmosphere as only me and my friend s were singing and chanting. Even the stewards were looking as if we had landed from mars. I was looking at the the guys in the cheaper seats and wanted to be back down there amoungst the real fans of football.
Inside the restaurant was just chunks of grey concrete, they could not even be bothered to paint them.
But what really disgusted me was a couple next to me who had a lovely five month old baby son with them. They had two season tickets for this level, which cost around ten grand a season. Anyway the cunts atthe doors charged them ?165-00 for the baby, when challenged the response was he had to be allocated a set. Get this they gave the baby a seat four rows below it's mum and dad. Needless to say the baby stayed in it's parents loving arms and a seat went empty. How greedy has the premiereship become?
I will not being going up in the heavens again. And will stay down in the cheaper seats with the masses. This to me was an outrage, and is the sort of thing that could put me off going to the ground again. It was flat with no atmosphere.
I know serves me right for being a Gooner. But how on earth could anyone charge a five month old baby?
And one more moan, Henry is supposed to be our captain and all he did was walk around with his shoulders down. Not very inspiring for the team, at a hundred and thirty grand a week, I would run till my head fell off.

Bring back the terraces I say. My old man only did one thing for me in life and that was to take me to football as a kid. I stopped going when you had to run the gaunlet getting back from Highbury in the eighties, but last few seasons been getting to a few more games. I remember a West Ham pal of mine, ran the length from station to station along the underground tunnel to get away from Milwall fans
They still seem to have a great atmosphere at Old Trafford. And the Kop, Even Craven Cottage has a fantastic rapour with the fans.
I know football does not have much romance about it these days, but I just can't help loving soccer.

your right in what your saying marino. As you know i support Man u, and i am a one united member. That cost me ?25 for the season, i still have to apply online for tickets, but if your a one united member your supposed to have more chance of a ticket. Get this though i have applied for every home game this season and not had one ticket. The only ticket ive had was the Celtic game. The same can be said about old trafford, the atmosphere is awfull, because of corporate hospitality. But thats the price we pay hey. Im off work this week so looking forward to Chelsea getting beat by Barcelona. I predict a 1-0 win for Barca.

As stressed earlier, football is a massive business. REAL fans like us aren't wanted unless we are corporate/hospitality/sponsors.
I used to live for the Shed End back in the day..........and I got the lumps to prove it. Now, Stamford Bridge is a souless place with poncey Johnny-come-latelys as fans, the cunts have money to buy tickets, whereas I have to rely on shoddy League Cup games or ticket touts to see my boys these days.
What gets me are these 'new fans' who don't have a clue who the manager was before Gullit or who the sponsor was before Emirates.
I feel for you Marino, I KNOW yer a true Gooner, the real lifes blood of these clubs, and they really don't give two fucks about us.
