pasting HTML in Dreamweaver

I went into "code view" and pasted the HTML but the rest of the coded page disappeared! I need more instructions. Please email me.

Does anyone know how to cut and paste a piece of HTML into a website using Dreamweaver? I have tried it and it remains as HTML. Tell me how to do it please.

Hi Mike

You should be able to just paste the code into your html using the 'code view' and it should work fine in 'design view' without showing the html itself.

If not, check that your tags are properly open and closed, like this & for the block of code you are inserting otherwise Dreamweaver may pick it up as text.

All I get in design is a broken link icon in the centre of the page with two meaningless icons on the left of the page.
