Best Al Pacino scene??

Post by BeestonBoy »

Hey all!!

This cropped up at work today and im really really torn, but think im going too have to go with the diner scene with Robert De Niro in "heat" all though sentimental as it may be there is some fantastic scenes in "scent of a woman". Plus I have never seen Serpico or Dog day afternoon.

Humour me on this one its taking my mind off the cravings. Reminds me thanx too every one who posted on me smoking question

peace out

Dog Day Afternoon is one of his best, get it, watch it, enjoy it. But I'd have to go with Scarface "Say hello to my Lidl friends......"

I love the scene in Scarface when Tony Montana says to Frank Lopez:

"Fuck Casper Gomez and fuck the fucking Dios brothers fuck 'em all. I'll bury those cockaroaches"

The dinner scene with DeNiro was shot seperatley with Pacino and DeNiro, they never appear together when filming, it was clever camera angles. Same with the ending, Both actors filmed seperate and edited to appear to be in the same scene.
My favourite Pacino scene is the tirade he launches at the US Justice system in 'And Justice For All'..........brilliant

The West London of my youth is now on dvd

So many to choose from, but it has to be the one in the godfather part 2, when he comes from the toilet and shoots the 2 guys in the head. Just watch his eyes. Amazing.

Great scene, that was Godfather part one though, just before he was sent to sicili !happy!

I always liked the end scene in The Devils Advocate when he gave his speech about his thoughts on God to keanu Reeves' character.

There are lots but I particularly like the scene in Godfather 2 with Hyman Roth played by Lee Strasberg. It's a point at which Michael Corleone is having moral doubts and listening to his conscience. It's perhaps a point at which he still sees a choice and the possibility of a different life. He communicates his doubts to Roth who is angry at what he sees as Michael's weakness, and he screams at Corleone 'This is the life you have chosen!'

Okay, maybe it's not up there in the canon of great Pacino moments, but I think it's a fantastic scene in the context of a fantastic film, and a point which one can extrapolate and apply to one's own life which is about being responsible for the choices one makes.
