Oasis - Stop the clocks

Post by Arnold Layne »

Great reminder of how good they were, and can still turn out a decent tune, but still not like the energy of songs on Definitley maybe, no "Whatever" or "Cast no shadow" on here, shame as there was enough space.

This was a contractual obligation Arnie, hence no double CD as you might expect with a Greatest Hits package, and strangely enough, nothing from the below average 'Be Here Now', despite 2 high charting songs in 'Do You Know What I Mean' and 'Stand By Me'. Bet ya didn't know the slide guitarist in Fade in/out is Johnny Depp who nailed his work in one take!!
Still, all-in-all, a very good offering from those crazy Mancs!!

The West London of my youth is now on dvd

Yep knew that mate, he hung out with him a lot around that time, some good tracks on that album, although even Noel refers to it as "Beer here now" as they were so off the faces when they made it, check out his expression in the "D'you know what I mean" video, he hated the helicopter bit!

A pointless compilation - the selection is so one-sided that it ought to be a 3.99 budget release. I hate crap "greatest hits" complation...
Why not just buy Definitely Maybe, Morning Glory & The Masterplan?

They're locking them up today, they're throwing away the key...I wonder who it be tomorrow, you or me?

We must buy this album regardless, otherwise Westlife will beat Oasis, The Beatles, and U2 to number 1.
