Softcore only. The ITC regulate tv in this enlightened nation of ours. The only legal outlet for h/c is a licenced sex shop.

You can legally subscribe to foreign based h/c channels if you want but not on your sky digibox.

What about Private Blue, that you can buy by the night on telewest? Is that softcore too (ie. is it different content to the European channel)?

Private Blue is also softcore. Go to www.privateblue.com for programme listings. Doesn't seem to be an equivalent site for Private Girls.
All, repeat all, porn obtained via Sky is SOFT.
The encoding system used by Sky is unique to them and cannot be used to obtain encoded foreign channels.
It might, big might, be possible to get Free To Air (FTA) shows by moving your Sky Digital dish.
I am very sceptical of the ads in Wot Sat and elsewhere that say get foreign porn using your Skybox - anyone had any success doing this?

Mr Cringemaker is right. Those ads are a con. All you will get through a digibox are the softcore free to air previews. A digibox can only decrypt transmissions using videoguard (Murdochs own encryption). The hardcore channels use seca, viacess and irdeto. Seca is most popular at the moment because of the large number of channels available on cloned cards. But if your main interest is British porn I would say an Irdeto or Viacess cam pluggged into the front of your receiver is the best bet as either of these will take cards for Spice and Sexveiw (the most popular channels for brit porn).
