There is nothing more annoying than a "BEST OF" that omits key tracks, ESPECIALLY non-album hits.
There is no excuse for it, and most best of's these days seem to be guilty

Stop The Clocks, though, really is something else!
It OMITS the unreleased track it's named after (DOH!)
It OMITS several key hit singles including Whatever which has never been included on any album (other than Now 30!)
It has left off 13 Top 11 Hits (including 3 UK#1's, including the brilliant (and concise) "Hindu Times")

In short, it's a shoddy excuse for a best of, little more than one of those "An Introduction To" type budget jobbies...

They're locking them up today, they're throwing away the key...I wonder who it be tomorrow, you or me?

I'd rather buy 2 copies of The Beatles than 1 of this - it's a piss-poor compilation.

Having said that, Westlife are the pits and I hate all they stand for.

Its all down to the record industry though, how many times has David Bowie had a Greatest Hits? Elton John has 4 out! U2 have had a few, and even if its not a greatest Hits, you can be sure of a shameless live album cash-in
Just got the Paul Weller/Jam compilation........worth every penny of a tenner!!

The West London of my youth is now on dvd

NEVER really hit the heights since the fabulous ''What's The Story Morning Glory''. Their first two LPs easily eclipse anything since.

Probably true, but they're always good to have around, and still a lot more interesting than certain newer bands.

Plus they always give good copy. Liam engagingly inane, and few can survive Noel's caustic insights (on Radiohead: "They don't want people like me to like them, do they." Ouch!).

"Let's do it..."
