A valid point Buttsie. One that I have of course already mulled over.
It's true that one sees all females through a testosterone-fuelled haze in one's teens and indeed twenties. However, though one might have been prepared to take on any old minger round the back of the chippy of an evening, one still had fantasies of what their ideal girlfriend would be like, the one they would like to have on their arm as they stepped into their favourite bar. The girl who would be in the passenger seat of their convertible Ferrari on that hot, sunny, summer's afternoon in the country, after they had made it big. Their dream girl. And in the past quite often their dream girl would have corresponded to a one of the top glamour models of the time. Like yer Kirsten Irmrie's, yer Linda Lusadi's, yer Debbie Ashby's. Gorgeous, stunning, feminine creatures with doe eyes, bee stung lips, big hair, tits bums and waists - dream girls.
So where are the new Linda Lusardi's, Kirsten Irmiri's and Debbie Ashby's, I don't see them. All I see are the new types in the Fiona Cooper brochure that someone else here has already pronounced 'crap.' Or those tidy, but bland, sexless slimming models you see on the covers of FHM, Maxim and the like.
I'm afraid this is a real fact of which all those in the industry are aware. There are a combination of reasons for this state of affairs which I could write an essay on - social cultural, etc, Unfortunately, I don't have the time, but I was speaking to a well known model agency boss earlier this week and we did touch on this very subject - he blamed the rise in salaries for 'Straight' jobs and a lowering of standards by video producers and photographers themselves. I.e. when a model turned up late, for a shoot in the old days covered in tattoos and metal work they would have been told to fuckoff home and not to comeback till they had cleaned up and got their act together. But over the last few years producers have let this slide - some more than others! And now it's all coming home to roost. Guys (suprise, suprise) aren?t all that fussed about seeing these 'crap' girls, sales are down all over the adult industry. From Penthouse to most of our good producer pals here on this forum. Now the sex shops are full of (mainly contempary American shag films) and it's all unwatchable tripe. But hey, if you told me that they?d just released a movie of Linda, Kirsten and Debbie simply showing their tits, bums and fannies off I'd be down to my local shag shop like a shot!
Of course there are still gorgeous girls out there. But at the moment it's not fashionable for them to make the most of their femininity and it's not fashionable to be a glamour model, they can earn the same dough being a bank clerk, so sadly, the best girls are not coming into the biz.
On the subject of ?Fiona Cooper.? Well if they still are in biz ? and there?s been some doubt about this on the forum recently ? it?s because they have a huge reservoir of customers from way back in happier times that are not going to trickle away overnight.

Re: Fiona Cooper question
Ah ah! So you now admit that the new girls are not very glamorous? Sorted!
"Reality is what the public wants?" Granted, it was a huge novelty in 1994 when John Stagliano burst onto the scene and Lindsey (Ben Dover ) copied him. But all that paled a long time ago and there's been a lot of barrel scraping going on for quite some time now. You say the public wants it. I don't want it. It's a major turn off. And declining sales of this type of material suggest that the punters have tired of it also.
Shagging the girl next door used to be a great idea - till the industry collectively got relocated onto the shitiest council estate you could imagine - Who wants to shag someone who looks like The Borg Queen and has all the charm and inteligence of a soggy dishcloth?' I'd like to move everyone back to that decent estate where the girl next-door, although no Claudia Schiffer, was nice, appealing and ?respectable? and the thought of shagging this outwardly respectable, unpretentious, young lady would be hugely exciting.
But having said that there is always a need for the 'Dream Girl' An industry figurehead. A girl for guys to aspire to. Something that has been lacking in this arena for some years now. At the moment it's an open door for any gorgeous young dolly bird with the requisite feminine charms and her head screwed on right.

Re: Fiona Cooper question
Your question is that Sutcliffe was a wedding photographer I believe, and used a photograph of one of his earlier models and the name Fiona Cooper.
He started small, got lucky and grew very very big. He did divert into selling knickers and stuff from a shop in Halifax but I believe that went tits up so to speak.
The offices of FC are still run from a building in Sowrbey Bridge which he had as a wedding photographer.
If I have made any errors, please excuse.

Sutcliffe? The Yorkshire Ripper?
The Yorkshire Ripper has been running a video agency for the last 10 years? What has this country come to?
