Didn't like him much, dodgy wife-beater, says it all really...

A bit dismissive comment to the mans talents and background right there. Thats like not liking Elton because he is gay or Sean Connery for that comment he made about women deserving a slap or Michael Jackson because the media portray him to be a kiddy fiddler or Ike for beating up on Tina Turner. Talent is talent.

James Brown aint no saint nor did he proclaim himself to be. Theres an arse hole quality in many of us even more so in talented people but not knowing the man personally or his crimes or politics...That man made some fucking great music and has contributed towards the social acceptance of black music at a time when it was at its height for racism and ignorance. People didnt like it because it was black but deep down might have been singing and shuffling their feet along to it.

So as for him being a wife beater (which I didnt know much about) saying it all...Not at all. But if a mans talents and acheivements are going to be judged by this then you are seriously blinkered Keith

While we're on it everyone seems to like Gazza and he beat up his missus but it has no bearing on his playing abilities.

The definition of huge ego is the ability to suck your own dick before others do...in otherwords if you know you got talent which he has oodles of then theres nowt wrong with it. Jus suck your dick in your own time. I dont wanna see it.

For me I couldnt give a hoot about someones ego. I just buy the music if I like it. I really couldnt care less for most famous people anyway unless they're down to earth and keeping it real.
