It could be a variety of things- Ofcom restrictions aiming at protecting the vulnerable, the libel laws and C4 avoiding paying copyright by cutting the sound on songs or recital of published works.

Someone seen the internet feed where it wasn't cut, and it was cut on tv, dunno what they said but it wasn't talking about a person outside the house or any legal stuff, they were just bitching about some other house mate.
