transferring from sky plus to pc?
i got sky + the other day and noticed where you put ure card in there is a usb port. I'm just wondering if you can transfer stuff from the box to your pc, anyone got any ideas? cheers
Re: transferring from sky plus to pc?
I think I read somewhere that the USB sockets were for possible future use, and were not active at present. I could be mistaken, though.
We have need of you again, great king.

What Peter said. Sky don?t want people transferring digital broadcast files, so any 'future use? won?t include transferring files the way you want. The files are encrypted anyway, at least the non-FTV/FTA channels. Best way is to get a DVD/HDD recorder (or Canopus box if you intend doing any significant editing).

Not having sky+ I can only go buy what i've found through google. Apparently one port is to be used as a 'video jukebox' the other for engineer diagnostics. This link, explains it better although it is 18months old!
