He might bring back Bobby Moore. I know he's been dead for a decade- but he would still have played better last night than that shower of shit.

McLaren was never the man for the job- Scolari would have been marvellous, but got scared off by what the tabloid press did to Eriksson.

Steve McLaren is from Yorkshire... the very epitome of a big-headed, bite-off-more-than-he-can-chew waste of space.

If you want a job doing well... don't ask a fucking tyke!

Imagine saying something similar against the Irish, French, Muslims or blacks?

Isn't it weird what's acceptable and what's not in today's society? I'm continually flabbergasted.

He wasn't my choice. To be fair though, I blame the players.

None looked like they really cared apart from Barton and Richards when they came on. They looked hungry.

Since England's first, and second choice left backs were out, since our main left midfielder was out, since our main ballwinner (Owen Hargreaves) was out, since our right midfielder (SWP) has only played about 3 full matches all season, and since our two main strikers didn't play (Rooney & Owen) then what can people expect?

All Spain's players are playing well and regularly for their clubs so I expected a decent result from them. They (along with Argentina) were the best team in the World Cup this summer so not exactly mugs.

I don't think a different manager would have got a different result considering the personnel available.

Personally it would have been big sam all the way, at least he'd get the passion back into wearing the three lions but we all know how much he loves Bolton and would be hard for him to leave even tho he said he was interested in the job when it was touted around.

Mclaren is too similar to Eriksson, we all know that it was mclaren doing all the work when Eriksson was in charge and look where that got us.

We need the passion and the fight back and as soon as possible.

Some decisions were bizarre. Why bring Barry on at half time as the left midfielder and then move him to left back after 20 minutes to bring on Downing?

He must know enough about Downing by now. It would have been better to start Barry at left back and move him into midfield for the second half.

Can't see what influence Venables is having either.

Forget the contracts, I give him 3 more games to turn it around and if the FA have any balls, they will sack him, put El Tel in a caretaker role till the domestic season ends and then go through the interviewing again.
Maccarone went public last week saying how limited McClaren is, most thought it was sour grapes, and now they say Maccarone was right

The West London of my youth is now on dvd
