Upload tool for a website?

Post by NeilUK »

Hi

Does anyone know of a good upload tool to allow surfers to upload their files and photos to a website from within the website? Rather than using a seperate FTP program? I've had a search on google with no luck

Thanks
Neil

How do you want it to work ? like they upload and keeps a list ? or catagories ? there are many out there :)

Hi

I was thinking of one that allowed them to upload the photos or files direct to the website, either to be instantly viewable by the masses. Or probably a better idea to be checked before being shown. Even if it was a way of them uploading to my server without giving them my FTP details would be ok.
I use SmartFTP would it be possible to make a public username and password available for that ? One that would allow them only to a specific folder on my server?

Thanks

You may want to look into coppermine as well, which you can integrate with your forum, so your members can upload whatever they like, you get moderator access, admin access and lots of mods and stuff.
