Looks like curtins for the big guy now..what a punch
Why do the English hate him so much ? Every fight i've watched with him they always boo him. Strange since the guy won olympic gold for England.
I actually felt sorry for him as he left the ring to boo's
Audley Harrison
Re: Audley Harrison
Booed because all the hype he gived himself, he never delivers, well, apart from his 1 decent performance against Danny Williams in his last fght.
I don't blame him for taking easy fights and the easy money, but constantly banging on he's the best and next world champion does him no favours.
Michael Sprott, on the other hand is a good pro, seen him a few times, deserves some fortune now..........never had a big payday, but never ducks a fight, THATS the difference

The West London of my youth is now on dvd

He's a points fighter, he hasn't learned how to fight yet.

To quote a line from one of my fav films (Friday)
"He got knocked the fuck out"
"He got knocked the fuck out"
Re: Audley Harrison
Have to say that has to be one of the luckiest punches I have ever seen, Sprott wasn't even sure what he threw to connect, plus he basically threw the punch blind but that is heavyweight boxing for you.
Pretty sure that Audley will be back though - wasn't as if he got badly beat up or fought badly and with the lack of decent Heavyweights in the World never mind the UK he will reckon he will have a good few paydays left in him ... even Evander Holyfield has made a comeback ... again.
Khan to be a World Champion this year I reckon, though it might be the worse thing that happens to him as some of the crowd seemed to boo him for knocking the opponent out TOO early for their liking.

PEOPLE think Stephen Hawking is so clever, but when you ask him a question and he is typing in the answer on his little screen, how do we know he isn't just looking up the answer on the Internet?
Re: Audley Harrison
We used to refer to fighters such as Harrison as 'bums', back in the old days.
Re: Audley Harrison
Don't bet on it, there aren't too many decent heavyweights out there and lots of mickey mouse titles to fight for. His name and gold medal will probably get him at least one more big fight.

Hopefully we have seen the last of this no-hoper pretty boy. He was a good amateur but never any real talent. The BBC blew over ?2m on his fights, another classic Beeb waste of public money.

Re: Audley Harrison
shame, really, cos in Audley we had a really marketable, media friendly fighter.
think he just took too long to make the big fights happen though, and when he finally did, too much time had elapsed in his 'career' without training right and learning the professional game, under the tutelage of a top quality trainer.
think that in years to come, he'll kick himself for not embracing frank warren's promotional banner sooner......
