Audley is the classiest heavyweight since Lennox.

Unfortunately he lacks hunger, motivation and determination. 3 kinda essential mental attributes for a boxer.

Worst mistake he made was knocking back the management of Frankie Warren and going it alone.

Capitalist nutter Warren would have ensured he became a fighter- not for Audley's sake, but to get that bit more cash out of his 'investment'.

Warren, a power-crazed money-obsessed whore, would not have liked the rejection by Audley one little bit. Corrupt twat that he is, and highly influential/ extremely powerful at that, I would not be surprised if he put 'measures' into place to orchestrate the booing.

Harrison was overated from day one and never had the heart, hunger or desire to be a champion and nor did he have the talent.

Apart from that one win against Williams the rest of his career has been a shambles and I for one hope we've seen the last of the Harrison so the true warriors of the sport can take centre stage and not some imposter.

It was also nice to see Sprott shut him the fuck up after all his trash talking antics and bad mouthing anyone who had dared to throw a little (but deserved) criticism his way.

The sport will be better off without Audley Harrison.

He always get into trouble in fights that don't involve bouncers from Krakow or retired private eyes from Miami.

The UK public got spoiled by Lennox Lewis. We had to wait over 100 years for him to come along and then the UK public took him for granted. He was one of the greatest fighters ever in the heavyweight division and his awesome skills, power and intelligence allowed him to diminate the division.
Lennox never ducked anyone and other fighters (ie those in the know) ducked him. Tyson paid him to step aside once and Bowe would rather give up the WBC crown than face him again after losing to Lennox in the Olympics.

Then Audley comes along and everyone thinks he will be like a new Lennox Lewis. Wrong. Very wrong. Now perhaps people realise how great Lennox was and how someone else of his talent will not just suddenly appear. Could be another painful 100+ years.

In the meantime Khan is great to watch and I cant wait for DeLa Hoya vs Mayweather Jnr!

Can Oscar do it? Lets hope so.

Back in about '94 I went over to Las Vegas to film a Roy Jones Jr vs Thomas Tate fight. We filmed it with high speed cameras all two rounds of it, played back at normal speed it made Raging Bull look like 'Button Moon'. I've not seen anyone hit harder, added to that his ring-craft, and I don't think there has been a better fighter in the last 30 years.

Roy Jones Jnr brings out a wide range of emotions from boxing fans.

Some believe like yourself that he's one of the all time greats.

Others that he had a big fat HBO contract where he was allowed to hand pick his own opponents which he did and therefore ducked most dangerous opponents.

Personally I think he was good. Very good but not an all time great for me.

Maybe he was just too good for his own division but the fact that at his peak he never really had any career defining fights, for whatever reason. His reputation wasn't helped for me either by those defeats late in his career to Tarver and Johnson although I accept many of the greats had a few losses as their careers wound down.

If you're talking about the last 30 years then that brings in Ray Leonard's time and he is clearly the best fighter I have ever seen and for me nobody even comes close to him.

My memory of him was more of a series or combination of punches, slashing punches that used to stop his opponents.

Tommy Hearns now he could punch. His knockout of Roberto Duran was one of the great punches in the history of the sport.
