Well take a look here for some pretty decent wallpapers to brighten up the "naff" Windows Desktop Defaults, available in most screen resolutions ... and FREE.
Just in case you don't know how to alter your Desktop, unlikely I know as you guys are all IT Experts, but for newbies:
In the "Start" menu go to "Control Panel" and select "Display" then via the tabbed menu at the top select "Desktop" then select "Browse" and enter the picture of your choice, press "apply". Job Done.

Yeah some nice stock photography on this site, I personally went for the Vancouver Skyline wallpaper myself and it looks great on my 21 incher!!

Or just right-click an image and select "Set as desktop background..."
